Believe it or not John Lennon Number 9 Curse

John Lennon: "Number 9"
Lennon was convinced that he was cursed by the number nine. He was born on October 9th, 1940 in Liverpool and the band was "discovered" on November 9, 1961. The Beatles played The Ed Sullivan Show on February 9th, 1964. He met Yoko Ono on November 9th, 1966. The Beatles later broke up after nine years together. His son Sean was born nine years after he met Ono, on Johns birthday, October 9th. Tragically, he was shot and killed on December 8th, 1980, but in Liverpool, where he was born, the date was (you guessed it) December 9th.

Word from Sony about the official launch of the Xperia Z in Germany popped up on the companys Facebook page. The smartphone will go on sale at the Sony Store in Berlin on the 21st.
While there is no word from the Facebook announcement on whether availability will also go for the rest of Europe from that date, weve also received an invite for an event outside of Germany, so likely February 21 will be a pan-European launch date for the Xperia Z.

The Top Ten 10 for Samsung Galaxy S i9100 SII 2 tech news report utilities smartphone repair unlock Auckland

If you are fortunate to own a Samsung Galaxy S 2 then no doubt you will be looking for apps to take advantage of its 4.3″ WVGA SUPER AMOLED Plus display, the greater processing power of its dual core processor; its 8MP camera and its other impressive features. Here is a roundup of some great apps for the Samsung Galaxy S 2.

GasBuddyQR Code - GasBuddy - Find Cheap Gas - Map Gas Prices

If your ride is as figuratively large as the Screen on the Galaxy II then you should be more than concerned about the high cost of Gasoline. Even so, most of us wouldn’t mind getting a better price on the fuel we use in our vehicles. GasBuddy is the front-end of a user-generated database of gas stations and the price that they charge for regular, premium and diesel fuel.

Dropbox

Even though the Samsung Galaxy S II has lots of storage, chances are that it won’t be enough to store the large collection of pictures, music and video that you have in your collection. Ensure that you have access to all your files, from wherever you need them, with the Dropbox app.
After you install Dropbox onto your phone, computer and maybe a Tablet it will automatically sync files between each device and allow you to access your photos, documents and other media from anywhere you have Internet connection and perhaps share those files with others.

Slice It!

Sometimes you will find yourself with tons of time on your hands and nothing to do. If at those moments you like to do something mindlessly fun then perhaps you should consider installing Slice It!. The objective of the game is to simply slice each object into equal parts or the same ratio. It sounds simple enough, but subsequently level can be joyfully challenging.

Anti-Virus Free

Computers aren’t the only playground of viruses. Android viruses, malware and exploit exists, and so owners of Android phones and Tablets must install security software to protect their Androids. AVG Anti-Virus Free not only protects against malware but can also help the device owner to recover a lost or stolen phone, backup and restore files and remotely wipe sensitive information and data from the device if it is lost.

Go SMS Pro

If you aren’t particular fond about the stock SMS app that ships with Android devices then you may want to consider installing GO SMS Pro. With it you get backup and restore, data encryption, a cool UI, popup notification, and a privacy mode to keep a particular messaging session away from prying eyes.

ASTRO File Manager

If you plan on using your Galaxy S II phone to its full extent chances are that you will have lots of files on your computer.  ASTRO File Manager has backup features to safeguard your files, a better search feature and the ability to handle attachments Tar and Zip files, as well as a better interface for exploring the Android file system.

Daily Bible

This is a way to ensure that you have access, at all times, to the most popular book that was ever written. With Daily Bible you can follow a daily reading plan or simply listen while verses are read to you.

Bubble Blast2

We couldn’t conclude our roundup of Samsung Galaxy S 2 Apps without including at least one fun app. The objective of Bubble Blast2 is to pop all the bubbles on screen with as few tries as possible. Once you pop a bubble the explosion pops nearby bubbles as well. The player has to be strategic in trying to make each pop burst as many adjacent bubbles as possible.

WiFi Analyzer

qr Wifi Analyzer

This app shows the Wi-Fi signals and channels that are within range. The app also shows the strength of the signals, the name of the network as well as helps to user to find the least crowded WiFi channel.

History Eraser

Despite best efforts your phone may find its way into the hands of someone you really don’t want seeing your personal web browsing history and call logs. Not only can History Eraser improve privacy and maybe keep you out of trouble, but it can be used to improve your phone’s performance by freeing up memory that may be used by SMS, cached files, web browsing history, market search history, the clipboard and apps.

Archeologists Unearth Alien Like Skulls In A Mexico Cemetery

[Watch Video: Alien-Like Skulls Unearthed In Mexican Cemetery]

Foto6alien

Archeologists have unearthed what looks like a cone-shaped alien skull from 1,000 years ago in Mexico.

The skull, which dates from 945 A.D. to 1308 A.D., was discovered accidentally while digging an irrigation system in the northwest state of Sonora in Mexico.

Cristina Garcia Moreno, who worked on the project with Arizona State University, explained that 13 of the 25 skulls found in the Hispanic cemetery had these deformed heads.

“We don’t know why this population specifically deformed their heads,” Moreno told ABC News.

The site, known as El Cementerio, was discovered in 1999, but the team just completed their analysis of the skeletal remains last month. They plan to continue their research during the next field season. Archaeologists also discovered artifacts on the site, like pendants, nose rings and jewelry.

They said the deformation of human skulls was part of an ancient ritual that took place 1,000 years ago. The deformation was achieved by binding a person’s head between two blocks of wood to apply pressure on the skull by wrapping the wood with bands.

“Cranial deformation has been used by different societies in the world as a ritual practice, or for distinction of status within a group or to distinguish between social groups,” Moreno told ABC News. “The reason why these individuals at El Cementerio deformed their skulls is still unknown.”

The team said that many of the bones unearthed were the remains of children, leading them to believe the practice of deforming skulls “may have been inlet and dangerous.”

The Chinook of the U.S. Northwest and the Choctaw of the U.S. Southeast both were known for practicing skull deformation as well.

Moreno told ABC that people deformed their heads in Mexico because they wanted to distinguish important people, or they wanted to distinguish people from one group from another.

Walking down the memory lane The Apple II Turns 35 now!

Apple IIA history-making machine
On April 16 and 17, 1976, a scrappy startup named Apple Computer introduced the Apple II at San Franciscos West Coast Computer Faire. The most sophisticated of the early personal computers, it was an enormous hit -- helping to jumpstart the PC revolution and foreshadowing the impact of the Mac, iPod, iPhone and iPad.

The two Steves
The Two Steves
Steve Jobs (left) was 22 when the Apple II debuted at the 1977 West Coast Computer Faire; Steve "Woz" Wozniak was 26. Here are Apples founders at the Faire, classic expressions already in place. Their complementary gifts -- Jobs visionary consumer sense, Wozs engineering wizardry -- made the Apple II a breakthrough.
 Apple I
The first Apple of them all
The Apple IIs primitive predecessor -- known at first simply as the Apple Computer -- didnt even come in a case until retailer Paul Terrell insisted on it. Designed by Woz and selling for $666.66 in 1976, it sold a few hundred units -- back when when that was enough to make it a success.
 Apple II with open case
Expandability was built in
The Apple II had an easy-to-remove lid and eight slots for add-in cards, making it one of the most customizable computers of its era. Here it is with a Hayes Micromodem II installed -- providing dial-up access to bulletin board systems and other online services at a zippy 300 bits per second.
  Apple III computer
The follow-up that flopped
In 1980, when the Apple II was still a huge hit, Apple released a souped-up, more business-oriented computer called the Apple III. One of few products ever released by the company that is most famous for having failed, it was pricey and flaky, and couldnt compete with 1981s IBM PC.
Apple IIc PlusThe Apple II evolves
For more than a decade, the original 1977 Apple II inspired additional models, even after the arrival of the Macintosh. 1988s Apple IIc Plus -- in a trim, pseudoportable case -- was the final new computer in the II line. Another moodel,, the IIe, stayed on sale until November 1993.

Unbelievable technology in the toilet urine controlled video game!

Drinkers can enjoy a spot of simulated skiing or extinguish some virtual flames while relieving themselves at The Exhibit bar in Balham, south London.

High-tech sensors detect the direction of urine and translate it into action on a 12-inch screen above every urinal.

By aiming carefully while spending a penny, users can guide a skier off piste or put out a raging inferno during their 60-second toilet trip.

There is also a general knowledge quiz called Clever Dick, in which players must pee in the right direction to select their answers.

When their game is over, players are given a code which they can enter into a website to join online leaderboards.

Developed in Britain after three years of research, it is hoped the world-first system will make money for bar owners through advertising.

Designer Gordon MacSween said: "We werent sure how people would react, but on the first night after we installed it, a group of America servicemen were in the bar.

"I heard one of them coming out of the toilet, high-fiving his mate saying, Twelve!

"His pals were saying No way dude! and going off to play and compete, and I thought, this is good.

"Because of where it is, and youve got a minute of a guys time, its a great time to put messages in front of him.

"Weve already carried adverts for products whose sales have gone up by 40 and 50 per cent, so they are very keen to use it as a promotional tool."

He added: "Because people are having a laugh, theres a lot less vandalism — people tend to get less angry.

"During testing, we tended to drink a lot of water so that we could play it more often."

The system was trialled at a bar in Cambridge before opening at The Exhibit in London this weekend.

Bar owner Drew Weatherhead said: "Hopefully it will bring people in and they will start competing for high scores."

It comes five years after Nintendo wowed the world with motion-controlled gaming and their pioneering games console — the Wii.

Ten most horrible places on Earth event record geogrphy history locationb news strange unexplained matter

1. The Mutter Museum of Medical History. The museum was founded to educate future doctors about anatomy and human anomalies. It is a museum of pathologies, ancient medical tools and biological exhibits. The museum is known for its extensive collection of skulls. It also has various unique exhibits, for example, the dead body of a woman which turned into soap in the ground where she was buried. One can also see there the Siamese twins sharing only one liver, the skeleton of a two-headed child and other hideous exhibits.
2. Truk Lagoon, Micronesia. A big part of the Japanese navy now rests on the floor of Truk Lagoon in Micronesia, south-east off the Hawaiian Archipelago. The bottom of the lagoon, which Jacques Yves Cousteau explored in 1971, is all covered with fragments of warships that sank in 1944. The lagoon has become a great attraction for divers, although many fear the crews that never left their action posts. Destroyers and aircraft grew into coral reefs, but many divers never return from their underwater journeys exploring the reefs.
3. The witchcraft market in Sonora, Mexico. Witches in Sonora sit in tiny booths and promise to relieve clients of poverty and infidelity for only $10. The market is open every day for pilgrims from Mexico and foreign tourists, who come to Sonora to find out at least something about their future. Anyone can buy there mysterious potions, snake blood and dried humming birds to tame their luck.
4. Easter Island, Chile. This island is one of the most mysterious places in the world. The island is world-known for its giant statues carved of stone. The giant statues look into the sky as if they are begging for mercy. Only stone statues know where their creators went. No one on the island knows the art of statue-making. No one knows how it could be possible to make those 20-meter high and 90-ton heavy giants. The statues used to be transported 20 kilometers far from the quarry, where ancient sculptors worked.
5. Manchac Swamp, Louisiana. The place is also known as the ghost swamp. The swamp is located near New Orleans. Legend has it that the swamp was cursed by a voodoo queen when she was captivated in the beginning of the 1920s. Three little villages disappeared there in a hurricane in 1915.
6. The Catacombs of Paris. The walls of the long corridor are “tiled” with skulls and bones. The air is very dry, carrying only a slight hint of decay. When you get into the catacombs underneath Paris you begin to realize why Viktor Hugo and Anne Rice wrote their famous novels about these dungeons. They stretch for about 187 kilometers underneath the whole city, and only a small part of them is open for access. They say that the legendary underground police patrol the catacombs, although legions of zombies and vampires seem to be more appropriate at this point.
7. The Winchester House in San Jose, California. The mystery house is a colossal construction, a home to many myths and prejudices. A fortune-teller once told Sarah Winchesater, an heiress to an armory company, that ghosts would haunt nut her throughout her life, so she needed to leave Connecticut and travel to the west, where she would need to build a huge house, the construction of which would have to continue as long as she was alive. The construction began in San Jose in 1884 and did not stop for 38 until Sarah died. The house is currently inhabited by the ghosts of her insanity: stairways into the ceiling, doors in the middle of walls, chandeliers and hooks. Even those who never believe in ghosts say that they heard or saw something strange during their visit to the house.
8. Mary King’s Close in Edinburgh. These are several streets with gloomy and hideous past, hidden in the medieval Old Town in Edinburgh. This place, where victims of plague would be left to die in the 17th century, is known for its poltergeists. The tourists visiting the weird location say that something invisible touches their arms and legs. Locals say that it is a ghost of a girl named Annie, whom her parents left there in 1645. A new large building was built in Mary King’s Close a hundred years later. The close was open for tourists in 2003.
9. Abbey of Thelema, Sicily. Aleister Crowley is probably one of the most infamous occultists in the world. This house, abundant with dark pagan frescos, used to be the world capital of Satan orgies. Crowley is known for his fans, like Marilyn Manson. He also appeared on the cover of the Beatles album Sgt. Pepper`s Lonely Hearts Club Band. Crowley founded the Abbey of Thelema, which became the community of free love. Filmmaker Kenneth Anger, a devotee of Crowley, made a film about the Abbey, but the film mysteriously disappeared later. The abbey has been practically ruined now.
10. Chernobyl, Ukraine. Tourists can visit the abandoned town of Pripyat and see its restriction zone. Thousands of people left their homes and abandoned their possessions when the Chernobyl disaster struck. Toys can be seen scattered in kindergartens, newspapers are resting on dinner tables. The Chernobyl disaster area is now open for tourist visits – the radiation level there is safe. As a rule, a bus trips begins in Kiev. Afterwards, tourists walk to the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, see the Sarcophagus and then go to the town of Pripyat.|

The Legeng Bob Marley On Love

bob marley

“Only once in your life, I truly believe, you find someone who can completely turn your world around. You tell them things that you’ve never shared with another soul and they absorb everything you say and actually want to hear more. You share hopes for the future, dreams that will never come true, goals that were never achieved and the many disappointments life has thrown at you. When something wonderful happens, you can’t wait to tell them about it, knowing they will share in your excitement. They are not embarrassed to cry with you when you are hurting or laugh with you when you make a fool of yourself. Never do they hurt your feelings or make you feel like you are not good enough, but rather they build you up and show you the things about yourself that make you special and even beautiful. There is never any pressure, jealousy or competition but only a quiet calmness when they are around. You can be yourself and not worry about what they will think of you because they love you for who you are. The things that seem insignificant to most people such as a note, song or walk become invaluable treasures kept safe in your heart to cherish forever. Memories of your childhood come back and are so clear and vivid it’s like being young again. Colours seem brighter and more brilliant. Laughter seems part of daily life where before it was infrequent or didn’t exist at all. A phone call or two during the day helps to get you through a long day’s work and always brings a smile to your face. In their presence, there’s no need for continuous conversation, but you find you’re quite content in just having them nearby. Things that never interested you before become fascinating because you know they are important to this person who is so special to you. You think of this person on every occasion and in everything you do. Simple things bring them to mind like a pale blue sky, gentle wind or even a storm cloud on the horizon. You open your heart knowing that there’s a chance it may be broken one day and in opening your heart, you experience a love and joy that you never dreamed possible. You find that being vulnerable is the only way to allow your heart to feel true pleasure that’s so real it scares you. You find strength in knowing you have a true friend and possibly a soul mate who will remain loyal to the end. Life seems completely different, exciting and worthwhile. Your only hope and security is in knowing that they are a part of your life.”

Xperia S And Xperia Ion To Be Unveiled By Sony Ericsson

Sony Ericsson has been long rumored to strategy the put out new devices in this week’s time at the Customer Gadgets Reveals 2012 in Las Nevada, and still, a lot more information on them has just began to appear.

This indicates that the Sony wish the release of in any case two smartphones on the market in the future, and that they will both be involved in the Xperia family. One of these gadgets will be known as Xperia S, while the other will land under the name of Xperia Ion.

Xperia S Seemingly, customers have already searched these gadgets over the World Wide Web before. The Xperia S is not an iota other than the widespread rumored Nozomi (which was anticipated to appear as the successor of Xperia arc), and at the same time the Xperia Ion is thought to be the Sony Ericsson LT28at.
Whether the Xperia Ion is indeed the LT28at mobile phone is still not clear, but not to worry as the truth will be revealed when Xperia Ion appears on racks with a 4.6-inch touch display, will seem to corroborate to. What is more is that it seems it will be published on the system of WiFi service provider AT&T. Past speculation on LT28at recommended the alike.
Xperia Ion Even though it has not been specifically illustrated, both the gadgets are vital to run under Google’s Android managing system when released. The newest associates of the Xperia kind were all Android gadgets. Xperia Ion and Xperia S gadgets are rumored to display only the Sony brand name on the front, LT26i (Nozomi) boasting the name above the display, while LT28at has it below the display.

Last autumns end, Sony bought Ericsson’s share in the partnership, and affirmed plans to have new smartphones on the market released under the Sony logo. Sony Ericsson will not be abolished but still become a sub-group of Sony starting the season of new year.

Thus, it is a good idea for the two new smartphones on the market to sport only the Sony company, though nothing has been verified on them basically. Gossip has it that both of them will be basically presented soon.
